Outlook missing "outlook.ost" how do I get it repaired so I can open outlook 2007?
I tried to start Outlook 2007 after installation, but I keep being prompted that it can't open the default e-mail folder, and I tried setting it up from the control panel e-mail applet, but then I was prompted that outlook.ost could not be accessed. I did a search for it on my computer and its not on my computer, so how and where do I get it?

Rhebok1 Search the PC for .ost make sure it is gone. Turn the "Cache mode" off & finish. Then Turn the "Cache mode" on. Start Outlook & .ost will be created again. Fred Chamanara | Advanced Agile Technology LLC | Hire us | please mark "Propose As Answer" if it does answer your question.

I'd suggest you remove the Outlook profile and create a new on in control panel/email applet. A newly created Outlook profile does not contain any ost file.
